2019 European Election: thank you for your commitment!
WIESBADEN – The right to vote is a fundamental element of our democracy. Although conducting elections is the responsibility of the electoral bodies, it would be impossible without the voluntary work of many citizens. In Germany, for instance, approximately 609,000 volunteer poll workers will help to ensure the proper conduct of the 9th Direct Election to the European Parliament on 26 May 2019. The Federal Returning Officer expresses his sincere thanks to all volunteers on the electoral boards on 26 May 2019 who will be doing a service to our democracy and, therefore, to all of us.
