Persons entitled to vote will receive voter’s notification by 4 May 2014
WIESBADEN – All persons eligible to vote who have been entered in the voters’ register will receive a voter’s notification from their municipal authorities by 4 May 2014 at the latest. The Federal Returning Officer also reports that the voters’ register for the 2014 European Election includes all persons eligible to vote whose main place of residence was registered at the registration office of the respective municipality on 20 April 2014, that is on the 35th day before the election. The voter’s notification will also indicate the polling station where voters may cast their votes on 25 May 2014.
From 5 to 9 May 2014, the municipal authorities will make their voters’ registers available for inspection by eligible voters during their normal opening hours. Citizens who have not received a voter’s notification by 4 May 2014 should immediately contact the election office of their main place of residence so that their eligibility can be verified.
